Ain't no better way to start the day than dancing in the moonlight!
The theme of our camp this year is "Bear With Me" - diabetes being the bear. This is our poster. It's on our t-shirts also.
I wanted to share this poster with you because it just lights up my heart. I love it. I hope you like it also.
Two of our campers had such lovely messages on the Happy Dolls they made for children in other countries. Here are two that were published in the newspaper.
Amanda, age 11:
"Hope isn't gone, it's just deep inside of you." She wantes her doll to go to Haiti, "There was this earthquake in Haiti, and it was just absolutely devastating. So I wanted to give this message to someone in Haiti to hold on to hope," she said.
Haley, age 13:
Haley named her Doll Sonia. "This is Sonia. She's your best friend. She's here for you to hold or to laugh or to cry with. Remember, you can't have a rainbow without a little rain." she wrote.
These kids get it. These kids rock!
Thanks for letting me share a little.
