These I received yesterday from my daughter

 

And this one I bought for myself and it just happened to arrive yesterday.  I was happy.  Now I just have to put it on my car.

Stars For Our Troops

This is what I did last night.  It was an interesting evening.  Lots of nice people working for a good cause.  The stars are cut from retired American flags.  They're put in little plastic baggies with a message on the backside that reads:

"I am part of our American flag that has flown over the USA.  I can no longer fly.  The sun and winds caused me to become tattered and torn.  Please carry me as a reminder that  You are not forgotten."

I also learned that lap blankets are being made from the stripes on the flags.  Another project in my future don't you think.
